ACC Plan Consolidation

Your Insurance

If you have long-term disability or life insurance through ACC, those plans are moving to RPB too, and picking up great new benefits along the way. Your coverage continues through December 31, then moves automatically to RPB on January 1.

Long-term disability (LTD)

  • RPB’s larger participant pool means you have access to expanded benefits.
    • [Placeholder LTD benefits comparison table]
  • Time insured under your ACC policy counts toward the pre-existing condition look-back period in the new one.
  • If you’re currently on claim, your benefits continue. The consolidation doesn’t affect them.

Life insurance

  • There’s no gap in coverage between your existing policy and your new one. And your existing coverage transfers without requiring a health questionnaire.
  • If you don’t currently have coverage and contribute 10% or more of your income to your retirement plan, you’ll get basic life insurance included at no additional cost.
  • You’ll have a 120-day window after January 1 to adjust your coverage without medical underwriting.
  • RPB’s plan doesn’t include dependent coverage. RPB will reach out directly to help you convert that coverage to individual policies.
