Welcome Our New Board Leaders
As we begin the new calendar year, I'm pleased to announce the appointment of David Baskin as the Chair of the RPB Board of Trustees and Amy Brackett as the Chair of the RPB Investment Committee.
David brings a wealth of experience, with 16 years of combined service on the RPB Investment Committee and RPB Board, having served as the Chair of our Investment Committee for the last eight years. Amy joined our Investment Committee in 2021 and is also a board member. Their expertise will be instrumental in fulfilling our mission to help ensure the best retirement outcomes for our plan participants.

David: Hi, I'm David Baskin, incoming chair of the RPB.
Amy: And I'm Amy Bracket RPB's Investment Committee Chair.
Although we're not new to the board, we are new to these leadership roles.
We want to say a quick hello, introduce ourselves and let you know what we'll be working on in our new roles.
David: I'm excited to be the chair of the RPB. For me, it marries the personal and the professional.
My father was a pulpit rabbi for 42 years in Hamilton, Ontario, and one of the very first participants in the RPB in 1949.
I've been in the wealth management business in Toronto and I manage a firm there. For the last 16 years, I've served on the investment committee, eight years as chair, and of course on the RPB board as well.
To me there's nothing as important as ensuring that all of our participants have the dignified retirement that they deserve,
Amy: And I'm thrilled to succeed David, as the next chair of the investment committee, after serving on the committee for the last several years.
I too come from a background in wealth management and have spent the last two decades working with individuals, families, and nonprofits, helping to manage their money.
My connection to the Reform Movement goes back about 18 years when my husband and I were looking for a rabbi to officiate at our wedding and we stumbled upon East End Temple in New York City.
Today we're the proud parents of two children who spend their summers at URJ’s Eisner Camp and are counting down the days until they're back.
Heading up RPB's Investment Committee, I'll be working to make sure that our participants continue to have best-in-class investment options as well as the education and resources to build a path towards their financial goals.
